Our Sunday morning worship is casual and simple, not flashy or showy. The basic elements in our worship are music and singing, a message from Scripture, and a time for reflection and personal application. Our worship band helps to draw our focus to God so we can concentrate on the teaching God has for us. Each week the message is practical and relevant, leading us to examine timeless truths and discover direction for our daily life. We want this to be a time for us to encounter God.
You do not have to be a member to come to our worship service. It is our desire to create an environment where people who have never attended church before or people who are skeptical of church feel welcomed, not threatened. We believe in encouraging an environment of grace which facilitates good relationships. This means an environment that recognizes and allows for us to be at many different places in our spiritual lives and journey. We know each of us have areas of strengths as well as areas of struggles. Our relationship with Christ is a process. It is okay to ask questions and wrestle with issues. We don’t want to cause people to feel pressured. We want to be people who can dialogue with others about Jesus Christ and the work He is doing in our lives.
At The Point our spiritual lives are very personal, but not private. Our faith grows and is strengthened when we live it out, in practice with others. We are finding that through Jesus Christ there is strength and fulfillment.
